Education and career
Her legal education has been shaped by a practical approach to law – distinct from traditional legal pathways. Ms Kaps laid the foundation for her career by training as a paralegal and subsequently qualifying as a certified legal specialist. Through her daily work, she developed an early interest in the substantive and strategic aspects of law, which ultimately led her to pursue legal studies. She completed her studies at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and Trinity College Dublin. While still a student, she worked for a large international law firm, gaining initial experience in the field of dispute resolution.
After graduating, she worked as a research assistant at SRP, where she further deepened her knowledge of commercial litigation. Ms Kaps then completed her legal clerkship, including stints at an international commercial law firm in Munich and a major US law firm in San Francisco. There, she focused on litigation and product liability, gaining valuable insights into the management of complex proceedings in an international context, particularly in the United States.
After successfully completing her second state examination, she returned to SRP in 2025 and joined the firm as an associate.
